Intermountain Gas Company Ranks Highest in Region in Customer Satisfaction Study

BOISE, IDAHO – December 10, 2024 – For the second consecutive year, Intermountain Gas Company has received the highest customer satisfaction ranking among midsize residential natural gas utilities in the Western United States.

The J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction StudySM measures residential customers’ satisfaction with their gas utility in four U.S. geographic regions. The study examines satisfaction across six factors: Billing and Payment; Corporate Citizenship; Price; Communications; Customer Care; and Safety & Reliability.

Intermountain Gas received a score of 764, while the average score of the 11 utilities measured was 732.

“It’s a testament to our hardworking employees that Intermountain Gas again ranked number one in the West,” said Garret Senger, Chief Utility Officer.  “We take great pride in providing safe and reliable natural gas service to more than 421,000 customers throughout southern Idaho.”

The 2024 U.S. Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 63,363 online interviews conducted from January through October 2024 among residential customers of the 86 largest gas utility brands across the United States, which represent more than 125,000 residential customers.
